About Us
The goal of The 21st Century Institute is to maximize human potential by integrating intellectual, cultural, economic, scientific, and technological resources from different geographical regions of the world. The Institute strives to be a strong and vital link in bridging the diversity of nations. The current focus of the Institute is growing the increasingly strong ties between the United States and Asia-Pacific region. To this end, we have successfully hosted hundreds of Chinese delegations from various levels of government and many industrial sectors.
The 21st Century Institute, founded in the early 1990s, is a non-profit organization headquartered in the suburbs of Chicago with branch offices in New York and Los Angeles in the United States, and Beijing and Shanghai in China. In addition, there are numerous liaison offices in other areas of China. The institute is an authorized foreign agency by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA) of China’s State Council to provide professional executive level training programs and services.
Our programs have grown substantially since our founding and we continue to develop initiatives to promote bilateral exchange between U.S. and China. Our programs include: Executive professional visits to China for networking and business development; Cultural exchange programs such as Teaching in China; and Public sector visits to develop better understanding across government units between the United States and China.
